On a sunny day in July, the renovated outdoor pool at De Mirandabad reopened its doors to the public. After a period of construction, it was time to celebrate the launch of the heated and upgraded swimming facility in a festive way. The City of Amsterdam brought in Ball On to handle the visual decoration of this special moment, with a clear request: stylish, eye-catching, and fully in the city’s recognizable colour scheme.

Summer opening in style

Ball On supplied two pillars with displays, an arch, and four standing tables with red parasols, all in Amsterdam’s well known red, white, and black colour palette. The displays and round panels featured the iconic symbol with the city’s three crosses. The standing tables were given a custom solution that allowed parasols to be securely integrated, yet easily removed. This made the setup both flexible in use and visually strong.

The challenge

The client wanted to mark the reopening with visual elements that reflect the spirit of the city. The products needed to be eye-catching, yet functional for both visitors and guests. An additional wish: to include red parasols with the standing tables, which could be folded in and out with ease.

Our solution

In close collaboration with the municipality, we developed a complete set of Ball On items that aligned with Amsterdam’s visual identity. The standing tables were specially adapted for use with a parasol, without compromising the design. The city’s logo was integrated into round displays, ensuring that branding and decoration worked hand in hand. Thanks to our modular system, we were able to deliver and set up everything quickly on location.

The result

The reopening received the look it deserved: festive, recognizable and professional. Ball On’s products contributed to a well-organized and welcoming atmosphere around the pool area. Visitors could relax and enjoy themselves at the standing tables, while the arch and pillars provided strong visual impact. After the event, the client shared that the products matched their expectations perfectly and that the reopening was a great success.
